Last month ISD completed the search to replace drummer Pat DeLeon, who left the band earlier this year. After several auditions, they have tapped Dan Chapa (Switchline, Rockstar) to be the new member of ISD.
Following a successful North American tour with Pain of Salvation and Kingcrow, IMMINENT SONIC DESTRUCTION began working on new music. The departure of DeLeon sidetracked this effort temporarily, and the band shifted their focus to finding a drummer who had the right mix of personality, humor and talent to take over the job. Chapa turned out to be all of those things, as well as an imposing physical specimen at 6’7” tall.
IMMINENT SONIC DESTRUCTION is now hard at work on the follow up to their critically acclaimed 2012 debut CD, Recurring Themes, which was produced by Roy Z (Bruce Dickinson, Sepultura).
